Chameleon in Colured Pencil
With Local Artist Karen Coulson
Explore the techniques required for this Colourful Chameleon using Assorted Colour Pencils on Mount Board. A line drawing is supplied to trace or copy so no need to worry about drawing “free hand”. All materials are provided to use within the session, along with Festive refreshments.

Miniature Model Making – Christmas Gonks

Wooden Painted Christmas Decorations

Do you enjoy creating your own Christmas decorations each year? This is your opportunity to create a unique hand-painted wooden Christmas decoration to gift (or keep!) You will be fully guided using acrylic paint with lots of ideas and support. A great way to spend time out, or bring a friend and get excited for Christmas!

Copper/Brass Christmas Decorations

Perfect for beginners, learn how to create beautiful copper or brass Christmas decorations. With a variety of different shaped templates to choose from or design your own shape from scratch. You’ll be able to personalise your decorations with textures, names, dates and special words. Step-by-step demonstrations will guide you through the class and you’ll leave with a beautiful decoration to adorn your tree!

Get creative and design your own unique handprinted prints using linocut techniques! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design and cut a lino you can print from many times. We have a choice of templates you can use, or you can draw your own design. Feel free to bring along any reference images for inspiration. You’ll be guided through the process, from planning and transferring your design to carving and proofing it, before finally printing your masterpiece.
The course includes four prints of your final design.

IN HOUSE CLASS WITH THE FOREST & COVE TEAM!

Stained Glass Workshop – Nature
With Carly Mann Art
This is a beginners class in which you will learn the basics of copper foil technique and go home with your own Nature-themed stained glass decorations/sun-catcher you created yourself!
This practical and informative workshop is a perfect introduction to stained glass work for beginners or improvers. You will learn the traditional skills of glass cutting and shaping to a pattern, copper foiling and soldering in a relaxed environment with plenty of individual attention.
You may bring your own design for a decoration or I will help you choose from existing templates or create your own based on your skill level and time allowing.
What’s included in the price?
All materials and tools are included in the cost. Gloves, goggles and an apron are provided. Tea and coffee are provided at any time during the day. Please bring a packed lunch.

The Elements of Art – 4-week course
With the Forest & Cove Team
Would you like to learn the basics of art? Maybe you’ve tried one of our in-house classes and now want a more in-depth supported series of sessions to improve your knowledge and art skills. The course will run over 4 x 3hr sessions focussing on the following topics:
Drawing – including the fundamentals of line, tone, shape, space and texture
Colour – The colour wheel, hues, values and colour mixing
Figurative – Proportion and observation skills
Landscape – Composition
In this immersive course, you will have access to different media, using different skills in each session. This small-sized art class is designed to offer learning and support to individuals and inspire in a safe welcoming environment. Your dedicated tutor will be there to motivate you and bring out your confidence in creating!
