Watercolours – Step-by-step – Blue Tit

JUNE
An Introduction to Silver Clay – with a sparkle!
With Jo Richards of Faye Benjamin Jewellery
Suitable for beginners, Silver Clay can be cut, shaped and textured with ease – a wonderful way to create your very own unique pendant, charm or drop earrings – depending on the size of your pieces there is usually enough for more than one! You will also have the option to add a touch of sparkle and set a cubic zirconia into one of your pieces.
We will work in a small group at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to explore the material and ask questions along the way. Your work will be fired and finished during the session so you can wear your creation(s) home with pride!
Additional clay, starter kits and jewellery findings can be purchased during the day. Please bring a sturdy pair of shoes. Drinks will be provided.

Learn to Paint a Stocks, Ranunculus and Hyacinths

Join me for a relaxing workshop where you’ll learn how to paint a beautiful selection of flowers in a loose watercolour style.
We’ll begin with an introduction to watercolour basics, where I’ll show you the key techniques we’ll use throughout the session. Then, together we’ll paint a selection of stunning flowers step-by-step.

Metallic Calligraphy Cards and Envelopes

Join me for a relaxing workshop, creating beautiful Calligraphy Cards and Envelopes at Forest and Cove, in Romsey.
During this workshop, we will learn how to use metallic ink using a dip pen with a calligraphy nib. If you have attended an introduction class for calligraphy with me, this is the ideal workshop to go on to! If you haven’t attended a beginner’s session, please do still join us as I will run through everything you need to know during the session.
You will be absolutely blown away with the beautiful selection of cards and envelopes you make during the session – there’s definitely something extremely satisfying about using metallic ink for calligraphy!

Beginners Linocut – Flowers, Leaves, Plants etc!
Get creative and design your own unique handprinted prints using linocut techniques! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design and cut a lino you can print from many times. We have a choice of templates you can use, or you can draw your own design. Feel free to bring along any reference images for inspiration. You’ll be guided through the process, from planning and transferring your design to carving and proofing it, before finally printing your masterpiece. The templates available will have a flower, leaves, and plant theme, maybe an insect or two as well!
The course includes four prints of your final design.

Polymer Clay Mini Frames
Join owner Rebecca for a special Polymer Clay Mini Frames workshop! In this relaxed, open-theme session you can create any design you like in this style. You’ll start by building a unique collage background, then add small 3D elements made from polymer clay to bring your mini frame to life.
This class is particularly special as it will be the final class we host before closing at the end of the month. To celebrate and give you a little extra creative time, we’ve added an additional 30 minutes to the session at no extra cost.
Come along, get creative, and help us finish our workshops on a high note! ✨🎨
This course includes one mini-frame creation.
Please note that polymer clay must be baked. If you wish to take items home and bake them yourself, please remember to bring a container. Otherwise, leave them and they will be baked and ready in a few days.
