Jigsaw Linocut
With The Forest & Cove Team
Jigsaw Lino – learn how to make a jigsaw print. You can then ink up each piece in different colours and fit them back together like a jigsaw, then we will be able to make our lino different colours on one print. This is suitable for beginners & people with some lino experience. We will have a few templates to work from so we can concentrate on learning the technique.

Stained Glass Workshop – Suncatchers
With Carly Mann Art
This is a beginners class in which you will learn the basics of copper foil technique and go home with your own stained glass decorations/sun-catcher you created yourself!
This practical and informative workshop is a perfect introduction to stained glass work for beginners or improvers. You will learn the traditional skills of glass cutting and shaping to a pattern, copper foiling and soldering in a relaxed environment with plenty of individual attention.
You may bring your own design for a decoration or I will help you choose from existing templates or create your own based on your skill level and time allowing.
What’s included in the price?
All materials and tools are included in the cost. Gloves, goggles and an apron are provided. Tea and coffee are provided at any time during the day.

Felt Owl on Canvas

Join us in this NEW 2-stage felting and inking workshop. The ink will provide the backdrop to your canvas for your lovingly crafted felt creature. In this workshop, we will create a felted owl in the night sky.
If you have thought about felting this is the perfect way to try it out. You can come along, learn lots, enjoy yourself, and go home with a canvas created by you!

Experimental Watercolour
Learn how to create colourful abstract paintings by using watercolour.
We will experiment with many weird and wonderful techniques of using watercolour, using it freely and expressively. In each class you will learn different skills, each with a new theme. All materials are provided, we also have aprons too! Please do wear something older as painting is messy! Full Day Lino – Land & Sea
With The Forest & Cove Team
Get creative and spend a whole day learning linocut! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design – 15cm x 15cm we will explore mark-making. Templates are provided but we do encourage you to bring any inspiration and sketches, so you can design your own to make it individual & original. You will then transfer your design to the lino and carve, before finally printing your masterpiece. You will print 6 of your final design, you get to take your linocut home so you can print from it many more times or work on it further. We will be using the rainbow roll with the ink which is so much fun! We have a land and sea theme, which the templates will be based these can be used, or help spark inspiration. Designing your own is encouraged too!

The Elements of Art – *4 – Week Course*

In the Drawing workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of line, tone, shape, space, and texture, providing a strong foundation for your artistic creations.

An Introduction to Silver Clay – with a sparkle!

Suitable for beginners, Silver Clay can be cut, shaped and textured with ease – a wonderful way to create your very own unique pendant, charm or drop earrings – depending on the size of your pieces there is usually enough for more than one! You will also have the option to add a touch of sparkle and set a cubic zirconia into one of your pieces.
We will work at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to explore the material and ask questions along the way. Your work will be fired and finished during the session so you can wear your creation(s) home with pride! Additional clay, starter kits and jewellery findings can be purchased during the day.

Lino Cut Christmas Cards

Get creative and design your own unique handprinted cards using linocut techniques! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design. You’ll be guided through the process, from planning and transferring your design to carving and proofing it, before finally printing your masterpiece. We have several templates you can use, if you want to design your own it is best the draw it out before the class – the size we will be working on is 10cm x 7.5cm

Silver Clay – Christmas Gifts
With Jo Richards of Faye Benjamin Jewellery
Suitable for beginners, Silver Clay can be cut, shaped and textured with ease – a wonderful way to create your very own unique pendant, charm or drop earrings – depending on the size of your pieces there is usually enough for more than one! The demonstrations will be Christmas themed with, but the choice is yours – what better way to create a unique and personal gift?! To ensure there is a twinkle of Christmas magic, you will also learn to set a cubic zirconia in one of your pieces.
We will work at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to explore the material and ask questions along the way. Your work will be fired and finished during the session so you can wear your creation(s) home with pride! Additional clay, starter kits and jewellery findings can be purchased during the day.
Please bring a sturdy pair of shoes and your own lunch; drinks will be provided.
