Lino Cut – Botanical
Forest & Cove Class
Get creative and design your own unique handprinted prints using linocut techniques! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design and cut a lino you can print from many times. We have a choice of templates you can use, or you can draw your own design. Feel free to bring along any reference images for inspiration. You’ll be guided through the process, from planning and transferring your design to carving and proofing it, before finally printing your masterpiece.
The course includes four prints of your final design.

This is a beginners class in which you will learn the basics of copper foil technique and go home with your own Botanical-themed stained glass decorations/sun-catcher you created yourself!
This practical and informative workshop is a perfect introduction to stained glass work for beginners or improvers. You will learn the traditional skills of glass cutting and shaping to a pattern, copper foiling and soldering in a relaxed environment with plenty of individual attention.
You may bring your own design for a decoration or I will help you choose from existing templates or create your own based on your skill level and time allowing.

Full Day Lino – The Sea
With The Forest & Cove Team
Get creative and spend a whole day learning linocut! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design – 15cm x 15cm we will explore mark-making. Templates are provided but we do encourage you to bring any inspiration and sketches, so you can design your own to make it individual & original. You will then transfer your design to the lino and carve, before finally printing your masterpiece. You will print 6 of your final design, you get to take your linocut home so you can print from it many more times or work on it further. We will be using the rainbow roll with the ink which is so much fun!

The Elements of Art – *4 – Week Course*
With The Forest and Cove Team
Would you like to learn the basics of art? Maybe you’ve tried one of our in-house classes and now want to improve your knowledge and art skills. These four workshops focus on different core principles, each are so important to creating art.
Drawing – including the fundamentals of line, tone, shape, space and texture
Colour – The colour wheel, hues, values and colour mixing
Figurative – Proportion and observation skills
Landscape – Composition -Focal points, Golden Section etc.
There are many core skills you can learn to improve your knowledge and skill whatever your level!
You will have access to different media, and learn how to use them effectively. This small-sized art class is designed to offer learning and support to individuals and inspire in a safe welcoming environment. Your dedicated tutor Carly will be there to motivate you and bring out your confidence in creating!
