We are pleased to announce we now have a selection of F&C classes! These classes are run by the F&C team. Rebecca, Rachel & Carly are all artists themselves and will guide you through the class. Our In-house classes are designed to be fun and sociable. Come and create something beautiful leave with some new skills and meet some like minded creative people too! Experimental Watercolour
Learn how to create colourful abstract paintings by using watercolour.
We will experiment with many weird and wonderful techniques of using watercolour, using it freely and expressively. In each class you will learn different skills, each with a new theme. All materials are provided, we also have aprons too! Please do wear something older as painting is messy! All our classes have a relaxed friendly atmosphere which will bring the most of your creative side out.

The Elements of Art – *4 – Week Course*
With The Forest and Cove Team
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, these sessions provide an opportunity to delve into the essentials of art.
In the Drawing workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of line, tone, shape, space, and texture, providing a strong foundation for your artistic creations.
The Colour class will introduce you to the intricacies of the colour wheel, hues, values, and the art of colour mixing, essential for bringing vibrancy to your work.
In the Figurative workshop, you’ll hone your proportion and observation skills, crucial for capturing the human form with accuracy.
The Landscape session will help you master composition, focusing on elements like focal points and the Golden Section to create captivating scenes.

Jigsaw Linocut
With The Forest & Cove Team
Jigsaw Lino – learn how to make a jigsaw print. You can then ink up each piece in different colours and fit them back together like a jigsaw, then we will be able to make our lino different colours on one print. This is suitable for beginners & people with some lino experience. We will have a few templates to work from so we can concentrate on learning the technique.

Lino Cut Christmas Cards
With The Forest & Cove Team
Get creative and design your own unique handprinted cards using linocut techniques! In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one design. You’ll be guided through the process, from planning and transferring your design to carving and proofing it, before finally printing your masterpiece. We have several templates you can use, if you want to design your own it is best the draw it out before the class – the size we will be working on is 10cm x 7.5cm
Not only will you be able to make multiple prints of your design on paper, but the course also includes six card blanks for you to print too! If you’re feeling inspired and want to create more prints of your amazing design, additional cards will be available for purchase on the day.
